MIGRATION AS SPATIAL EVENT

The Project is an experiment in the field of Art and Architecture dealing with Mobility, that will be organised in a form of Student workshop with participants from Braunschweig and participants from Belgrade. The two countries are both intensively affected with the Migrant crisis: Serbia as a country of passage, transit and Germany as goal – target country.
Students of Art in Architecture are agents dealing with space: the Migration is seen as spatial event, phenomena that is expected to follow students also in their professional life.

SPATIAL INTERVENTIONS / NARATIVES
Students will submit a proposal for a spatial intervention in public space as a comment to migrant crisis. They should define how to interpret spatially their attitudes, sensitivies and relations to the theme. The project will consist out the narative part and visual part of the project, that together will take a form of an art work.
100 years after Bauhaus, when modernism started also with voyage and migration of artists and architects themselves, this project is an artistic approach to the theme of migration that define spatially ourselves, society and environment.
